"For me, the most important thing is that the patient, after talking to me, take clear and truthful information about the problem he has and the possible solutions that I as an orthopedist and surgeon can offer him."

I started my studies as a general practitioner without imagining that I would end up being an orthopedist. However, throughout my career I became passionate about this world in which we work with muscles, joints and bones with the aim of repairing or rebuilding something injured to promptly reincorporate the human being to an activity or sport; to bring him back into his life.
I completed my General Medicine studies at the Hispano-American University upon completion, completed my internship at the San Juan de Dios Hospital and later my Social Service at the Golfito Hospital (same place where I was born), later entered the Postgraduate Orthopedics and Traumatology from the University of Costa Rica rotating and performing my surgical practices at the Hospital México, Hospital San Juan de Dios and Hospital Nacional de Niños.
During the last 3 months of specialty, I did a rotation in the Hip and Knee Joint Reconstruction Service at the Italian Hospital in Buenos Aires Argentina, this internship served as an orientation to later decide to carry out a subspecialty in Joint Surgery with the Autonomous University of Mexico at the National Institute of Rehabilitation in Mexico City, Federal District.
Currently I am dedicated to the management of musculoskeletal injuries caused by trauma, focusing mostly on joint preservation surgery as well as reconstruction in degenerative injuries.
